about g

Your favourite Sicilian-Scottish cook.
Fluent in both English and Italian, I have the authentic Sicilian roots and secret recipes, as well as international influences and a gourmet spin on tradition.

  • In a city full of cooking classes, Cooking with G is a little more personal, a little more playful—and a whole lot more memorable.

I'm a native English speaker with Sicilian roots, so you’ll get the best of both worlds. My classes are small (often private groups)—more like a long lunch with friends than a formal lesson. We sip wine, cook delicious food with a gourmet twist on tradition, share stories, and usually end up a little tipsy under the sun on the terrace with good music in the background.

We’ll cook using simple, everyday tools so you can recreate everything back home. Hand-designed recipe cards are also available.

You’ll leave with new skills, delicious recipes, and a true taste of Sicily

As one of my customers once said: “Not only do you learn how to make delicious meals for yourself, but you make friends along the way.”

  • Sono Giulia! Half Sicilian and half Scottish with a passion for food and for people.

I set-up my cooking venture in 2024 after leaving my life in London to connect with my roots and live la dolce vita!

I have always found food to be the best way to connect with a culture: the ingredients, the stories behind dishes and the opportunity to connect with locals. Because food is a universal language!

I have learnt to make various international cuisines, but the one that has always been dearest to my heart, that I grew up learning and making with my mum & Nonna, is Sicilian.

Sicily has such a rich agricultural landscape and connection to the terrain, it would be a shame not to share all its beauty, richness and deliciousness with others!
